Scaffolding in Wade Hall

Wade Hall is a postwar estate on the north west side of Leyland, laid out around Royal Avenue, and its semis are now at the stage where roofs, chimneys, fascias and render all come up for renewal. We are around 20 minutes away in Preston, we survey for free, and every scaffold goes up to TG20:21 with the paperwork to show for it.

Wade Hall's housing is consistent, postwar semis and short terraces on wide estate roads around Royal Avenue, which makes access easy for the wagon and keeps most scaffolds wholly on gardens and drives with no highway licence needed. The common jobs are gable end scaffolds from around £350 for repointing and render patching, single elevations typically £600 to £900 for fascia and gutter replacement, chimney scaffolds from around £400, and full three sided scaffolds at £850 to £1,200 when a roof is stripped. Solar installers also book us here regularly, with solar scaffolds typically £600 to £1,200.

We reach Wade Hall in about 20 minutes from Preston via the A582, so surveys usually happen within 24 hours and most scaffolds are up within a few working days of approval. South Ribble Borough Council is the planning authority for any underlying works, though the scaffold itself needs no permission. From Wade Hall we also cover Golden Hill, Moss Side and Seven Stars, usually on the same day's rounds.

Scaffolding in Wade Hall — your questions answered

How much does scaffolding cost in Wade Hall?

Prices start from around £450 for a single elevation on a typical Wade Hall semi, with most jobs landing between £600 and £900 for one side and £850 to £1,200 for a full two storey scaffold over three sides. Gable ends start from around £350, chimney scaffolds from around £400 and solar panel scaffolds typically £600 to £1,200. The estate's wide roads and private gardens keep licence costs out of most quotes. We price after a free survey, confirm VAT on the quote, and include transport, erection, the hire period and dismantling.

Who pays for the scaffolding, me or my builder?

In domestic projects the homeowner usually pays for the scaffold even when the builder or roofer arranges it. If scaffolding sits inside a builder's quote for your Wade Hall job, ask for it to be itemised so the hire duration, extension rates and dismantle costs are visible, and check whether VAT is included. We are equally happy quoting you directly or working alongside your builder, roofer or solar installer, whichever suits.

How quickly can you get scaffolding up in Wade Hall?

We are around 20 minutes from Wade Hall, so we can usually survey within 24 hours. Most domestic scaffolds go up in 2 to 8 hours, with a typical estate semi taking around 3 to 5 hours on site. These are indicative timings we confirm on the survey. Because scaffolds here almost always stand on private land, there is no council licence lead time, so once you approve the quote we can usually schedule within a few working days.

Who we are. Preston Scaffolding (NW) Limited, a scaffolding contractor based in Preston, Lancashire.

Quotes. All quotes are free and carry no obligation. Quoted prices state whether VAT is included and cover transport, erection, the agreed hire period and dismantling unless the quote says otherwise. If your project runs past the included hire period, the weekly extension rate shown on your quote applies.

The scaffold. Our scaffolding is erected and dismantled by qualified scaffolders and must not be altered, moved or added to by anyone other than us. Please don't attach banners, sheeting or equipment to the scaffold without asking us first. The scaffold remains our property at all times.

Access and licences. You agree to provide reasonable access to the property for erection, inspections and dismantling. Where the scaffold stands on the public highway we arrange the council licence, and the licence fee is included in or itemised on your quote.

Insurance and safety. We hold public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance, and our scaffolds are erected to TG20:21 guidance with statutory inspections at least every 7 days while the scaffold is in use. Insurance certificates are available on request.

Your enquiry and your details. When you send an enquiry we use your name and contact details only to respond to you about scaffolding work. We don't sell or share your details with anyone else, and we don't send marketing. Ask us at any time and we'll delete your details.

Payment. Payment terms are stated on your quote or invoice. The scaffold may be removed if invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed terms.
