Scaffolding in Nateby

Nateby sits just west of Garstang on the far side of the Lancaster Canal, a small parish of farmhouses, cottages and scattered homes along quiet lanes. It is about 25 minutes from our Preston base, close enough for next day surveys, and every scaffold we put up here is erected to the current TG20:21 guidance with a free written quote first.

Scaffolding jobs in Nateby are mostly rural in character. Farmhouse reroofs, chimney stacks on older brick and stone properties, gable end scaffolds for repointing, and access scaffolds for barn repairs and conversions. Almost everything here goes up on private land, a yard, garden or paddock, so highway licences are rarely needed and the main access questions are about ground conditions and getting the wagon close enough to hand materials in efficiently. Soft ground is manageable, we simply spread the load properly on sole boards.

We reach Nateby in about 25 minutes via the A6 and Garstang, which means quick surveys, prompt seven day inspections during longer hires and a fast strike once your trades finish. From the same patch we cover Garstang and Bonds across the canal, Cabus up the A6 and Winmarleigh and Pilling out on the mosses, so if your builder moves the programme we can usually adapt the scaffold within a day or two.

Scaffolding in Nateby — your questions answered

How much does scaffolding cost in Nateby?

Guide prices start from around £450 for a single elevation on a typical semi, with most jobs between £600 and £900 for one side and £850 to £1,200 for a full two storey scaffold. Farmhouse and barn jobs vary more than village houses because of size and ground conditions, which is exactly why we survey free of charge before quoting. Every quote states whether VAT is included and covers transport, erection, the hire period and dismantling, with any extension weeks priced up front.

Do you actually cover Nateby? You are based in Preston.

Yes, Nateby is well inside our daily working area. We are about 25 minutes away, which means fast surveys, quick adaptations mid job, prompt inspections after storms and a quick dismantle once your trades finish. We are up and down the A6 through Garstang constantly and also cover Cabus, Winmarleigh and Pilling on the same runs, so a Nateby job never has to wait for us to be in the area.

Do I need full scaffolding or just a scaffold tower?

It depends on the task, not on any height rule, because there is no legal minimum height for scaffolding and the Work at Height Regulations 2005 turn on risk. A tower can be fine for a short, light job on a flat, firm approach, but farm work in Nateby often involves uneven ground, fragile roofs and materials that need proper loading platforms, all of which point to a designed scaffold. Describe the job and we will give you an honest steer either way.

Quotes. All quotes are free and carry no obligation. Quoted prices state whether VAT is included and cover transport, erection, the agreed hire period and dismantling unless the quote says otherwise. If your project runs past the included hire period, the weekly extension rate shown on your quote applies.

The scaffold. Our scaffolding is erected and dismantled by qualified scaffolders and must not be altered, moved or added to by anyone other than us. Please don't attach banners, sheeting or equipment to the scaffold without asking us first. The scaffold remains our property at all times.

Access and licences. You agree to provide reasonable access to the property for erection, inspections and dismantling. Where the scaffold stands on the public highway we arrange the council licence, and the licence fee is included in or itemised on your quote.

Insurance and safety. We hold public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance, and our scaffolds are erected to TG20:21 guidance with statutory inspections at least every 7 days while the scaffold is in use. Insurance certificates are available on request.

Your enquiry and your details. When you send an enquiry we use your name and contact details only to respond to you about scaffolding work. We don't sell or share your details with anyone else, and we don't send marketing. Ask us at any time and we'll delete your details.

Payment. Payment terms are stated on your quote or invoice. The scaffold may be removed if invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed terms.
